The Month of L O V E

At The Stylist’s Guide so many of our events are centred around love. From weddings to engagements, christenings, bridal showers, baby showers and the rest of it, we thought it was only appropriate to fill you in on some of our favourite events that not only celebrated love, but cherished it. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about doing a special something for your partner or loved ones - we’ve put together some inspo!

Last year we had the pleasure of organising Julia’s bridal shower from beginning to end. It was a beautiful morning full of brunch at The Moseley in Glenelg, where guests enjoyed a delicious three course brunch, alongside breakfast bubbly and coffee. With an overall theme of pink and red, the tables were styled with red and pink roses, paired with our pink vases and pink cotton napkins - a perfect contrast against the blue tiled tables and plates supplied by the venue. A gorgeous pink, red and gold cake by Rebecca’s Cakes stood tall, next to our acrylic tabletop dessert wall, where we displayed engagement ring cookies for guests. We loved assisting this bride to be with everything from concept creation, to assistance with bringing Julia’s vision to life. Julia also hired a number of prop items from us including our acrylic block table numbers and gold brass vase, which made the space look incredible!

We all know nothing more says ‘I love you’ than a beautiful diamond… so we obviously had to fill you in on a fabulous event that involved just that! Recently we worked alongside our favourite A-team from Girl About Town Co. to create some magic for the launch of Class A Jeweller’s Engagement Week. We were engaged (pun intended) to create a lust worthy table setting that radiated romance for the Class A Jewellers Proposal Season launch night, similar to that of a wedding. Influencers and media alike dined in the Class A studio, where we had set up a perfectly pink table-scape featuring our cylinder vases that included pink scented candles to flow with the theme of the event. Flowers from Le Numinous added a lively pop of colour, as did the prettiest pink velvet chairs from White Marquee. We loved conceptualising the colour palette for the evening, as well as organising suppliers, deliveries and coordinating the set up on the day.

Last but not least, our incredible freelance stylist Sara Najjar, also known as our 2IC, went out on her own to create what we’re calling the wedding of the year. This is of course the wedding of Jad and Amel - a Lebanese wedding that was styled to a tee. To ease the couple’s stress on the day, as well as leading up to the wedding, we provided on the day event coordination & styling, also known as our From Start to Finish package. Aside from providing peace of mind, knowing that everything will be taken care of, our team managed and coordinated the suppliers that made this day possible, while project managing the ceremony and reception to ensure everything ran smoothly. Sara asked our creative director to assist on the day because to put it simply, she “couldn’t trust anyone else”.
