Real Wedding - Emma-Jayne and Tommy
After months of planning and organising their big day, Emma-Jayne and Tommy contacted us to help with organising deliveries, suppliers and styling on their wedding day.
After an initial consultation, the couple decided to book in ‘The Bridal Helper’ package - where we assisted in finalising all styling details, while ensuring everything ran smoothly on their wedding day.
We spoke with Emma-Jayne about the process, and this is what she had to say!
What lead you to engage The Stylist's Guide?
I knew from the beginning that I wanted / needed a wedding stylist and someone to help with on the day coordination. I am a really indecisive person and throughout the wedding planning process I think I planned, and then re-planned my theme multiple times… because of this I knew I needed someone that I could trust and rely on to reign my thoughts in and reassure me to keep me on track.
How did you find the process?
From the minute I met with the girls from The Stylist’s Guide, I knew my wedding was in good hands. Everyone was so reassuring and there was never a time I left any of my meetings worried that my vision was getting lost in communication. Any time I had a mini freak-out over something small, or emailed them with more photos/ideas/train of thoughts, they were so quick to reply. I also loved that they took the time to meet with me on-site and always questioned my pictures asking what I liked about the photo [to really understand my vision].
What blew you away?
The way the concepts came together blew me away. When planning a wedding you always have photos or Pinterest boards, and you never really know how the design and concept will come together [in real life], but walking into the venue on the day of my wedding was just amazing. The girls nailed EVERYTHING! It was like looking at my Pintrest board in real life — it was so gorgeous and was more than I could have ever imagined.
One piece of advice for other brides?
My one piece of advice is always trust yourself and your vision. That was one thing I really struggled with at the beginning always wanting everyone's opinions and then being put off when someone would give me an answer I didn't like. This is your wedding, so plan it as you want, decorate it as you please...this event is for you and your partner and no one else.
The bride said… “thank you so much for everything you guys did in the lead up and on the day of the wedding! We received our wedding photos back and looking through them once again blew me away with the phenomenal job you guys did bringing my vision to life…. honestly we received so much feedback about how beautiful the venue looked. I have been referring you guys to anyone and everyone (even the barista at my local coffee shop knows how much I loved working with you guys).”
